Temporary Hold on Skiing and Riding Operations

February 22, 2018 – Dodge Ridge’s skiing and riding operations remain on temporary hold today while we wait for Mother Nature to deliver the next round of significant winter storms. Stay tuned, the forecast appears to be making a positive switch to winter.

We’ve been enjoying the colder temperatures and light snowfall this week. Since Sunday evening, we’ve picked up 3 inches of new snowfall from base to summit with continuing cold temperatures this week dipping down into the single digits and teens. We are expecting another round of snowfall for today with the forecast calling for an additional 4 – 6″ with continued cold temperatures in the teens. The new snowfall this week has been a welcome change in the weather and a great start to rebuilding our base, though it won’t be quite enough to get the lifts turning for this coming weekend. We will remain on a temporary hold for all skiing and snowboarding operations through the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, February 24 & 25.

We are seeing a strong forecast for next week with weather models indicating a major change in the long-range forecast for the last week of February into the first couple weeks of March. We’ll continue with the cold temperatures with multiple storms next week that are forecast to deliver significantly more snowfall. Stay tuned and keep checking back, we’ll be updating regularly as the new snowfall arrives.

During this temporary hold, feel free to make your lesson reservation for future dates this season by calling (209) 965-3474. We’re here 7 days a week from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
