Weather Outlook:
Today’s weather forecast is calling for snowy conditions turning to mostly sunny skies, winds at 10 mph with a high near 31°F forecasted at 7,200’.
This weather system will continue today until the afternoon, tapering down around noon and picking back up Friday morning and into Saturday. Anticipate 10 – 14 inches of snowfall today.
Weekend Storm: Another significant snowfall event is forecasted to occur early Friday into Sunday, with a 50-70% chance of receiving over 12 inches of snow above 5,000 feet.

Current temperatures as of 6:00am are 27°F at the summit and 30°F in our base area. Temperatures look to peak at 31°F today.
Roads:
As of 6:00 am, Cal-Trans website is saying chains ARE required on all vehicles except vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels above on your journey to Dodge Ridge today, potentially starting in Cold Springs. Check roads.dot.ca.gov for current road conditions. Please remember to drive slowly, carefully and always carry chains when you are headed into the Sierras. Always stay ready for winter road conditions when heading to the Sierra’s, make sure you have 4×4 and carry chains, always be prepared for changing road conditions and drive safely!
Current Operations:
Today’s operating hours for the mountain are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Today’s schedule includes the operation of 7 lifts, featuring chairlifts 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, and conveyors 2 & 3 dedicated to lessons. With fresh powder in the forecast, we look forward to seeing you on the mountain!
