Miriam Sanchez
Miriam Sanchez was born in Los Angeles and moved to Sonora at a young age. Her yoga journey began in 2012. After completing her first yoga class at Columbia College, Miriam enrolled in yoga II to dive deeper into the practice. She soon discovered that yoga was the missing piece. She signed up for the Gift of Yoga teacher training program summer of 2014. She then received her certification Spring of 2015. Soon after she dove right into teaching classes at Stanislaus State University. Miriam is a firm believer in incorporating breathwork and movement within her practice. She also enjoys incorporating sound bowls and meditation to deepen her yoga practice. She is an avid learner and continues to attend yoga retreats and trainings in her spare time.
Miriam is experienced in teaching Vinyasa, Hatha, and restorative. She has experience working with students, faculty, and staff at Stanislaus State University and is excited to share her love of yoga with the community. She encourages all students to practice whether they're seasoned yogis or simply new to the practice. In her spare time, you can find Miriam strolling through the farmer's market, hiking, and cooking up delicious healthy recipes.
