Mountain Biking

We plan to operate every Saturday and Sunday through the end of October (weather-permitting). We'll evaluate for November operations at that time.

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is excited to be open for our first season of chairlift-accessed mountain biking. The Dodge Ridge Mountain Bike Park will operate:

  • SUMMER + FALL OPERATIONS NOW CLOSED AS WE PREP FOR WINTER.
Chairlift Rides to Hiking + Disc Golf + Mountain Biking: Available Again next spring, summer & fall.
    - Grab + Go Food
    - BBQ + Grill:
    - Bar
  • Standard Pedal Mountain Bikes
  • Class 1 E-Bikes (Max Weight of 60 lbs)
  • All other Classes of E-Bikes are not permitted at this time.

All riders descend from the top of the Motherlode Chairlift 3 at the 7,400 ft elevation and traverse out across the mountain with nearly 5 miles of Beginner/Lower-Intermediate Freeride rollers and banks currently available along with a 1.5 mile trail of Intermediate-Technical Terrain recently opened on September 24.  The crews at Dodge Ridge will also be working on an Intermediate Freeride trail as we continue Mountain Biking operations through October (weather-permitting).

The good news is that we'll continue to offer mountain biking for years to come and the trails completed this summer and fall will be a jumping off point for next spring following the winter ski + board season, when mountain biking opens up once again and trail building resumes.

Take a look at the trail map below and continue checking back for updates.

NEW 1.5 MILE INTERMEDIATE-TECHNICAL TRAIL NOW OPEN
Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort - Mountain Biking Trail Map
Current Trails and New Trail Development
Trail building officially began back in late May once the snow melted completely. Working from scratch on this new direction for Dodge Ridge, we've partnered with Trailscape trail builders to complete our first of many trails to come.

We've taken the extensive time necessary to really develop our trails properly and are really excited to continue growing our mountain biking trail system for years to come.

Our new 1.5 mile Intermediate-Technical trail is now complete and ready to ride. Hit up the trails every Saturday and Sunday as we plan to continue mountain bike operations through the end of October (weather-permitting). We'll evaluate for November operations at that time.

Following this, we'll begin working on the 2.5 mile Intermediate-Freeride trail, also shown on the map. This trail will contain more of the burms, banks and jump features and will take a little longer to build due to the time necessary to construct these features. We'll follow-up with timelines once this trail build gets underway.

The good news is that we'll continue to offer mountain biking for years to come and the trails completed this summer and fall will be a jumping off point for next spring when mountain biking opens up once again and trail building resumes, following the winter ski + board season. Have some fun out there...
