DODGE RIDGE HONORS A FALLEN HERO AND FORMER DR RACER
Wednesday, March 12, 2008

The flag at Dodge Ridge is flying at half mast in loving memory of Army Sergeant Robert "Bobby" Rapp of Sonora. He was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan, the military announced Wednesday. Frank and Sally Helm and the Dodge Ridge family extend their deepest sympathy to the Rapp family. "Bobby was a member of the Dodge Ridge family and will be greatly missed," said Frank and Sally Helm, who had several fond memories of watching Bobby grow up at Dodge Ridge. He was a member of the Dodge Ridge Race Team from age 8 to 13. A talented athlete, he enjoyed ski racing with his brother Patrick and friends at Dodge Ridge. In addition to ski racing he also loved the challenge of the terrain parks. As a tribute to Bobby and his love of skiing, Frank and Sally Helm are honored to be naming a ski run in his memory.
